Christmas is on the horizon. so, i thought it best to get the booze cupboard stocked up. Dampneys remarkable drinks, were the first choice for a few liqueurs, to be enjoyed, when walking in the countryside. The website is very well laid out, extremely easy to use, so we ordered a few bottles. and in no-time, the bottles arrived, all very well protected and ready to be enjoyed... So, to ensure that ‘Dampneys’ quality was unswerving… we cracked them open. The Sloe gin was the first sample… and it is exceptional; I’m sure we have all appreciated a tot of ‘homemade’ sloe gin that’s been in the back of a friend’s cupboard for a number of years, well, Dampneys Sloe gin is SO much more than that; it has a smoother, cleaner taste, that bursts with flavour… With its stunning claret colour, the Raspberry gin was put up to test next… it seemed a shame to open the bottle… but we soon got over that and once the cork was out of the bottle. the raspberry aroma and taste give you a warm, friendly hug… and once we’d mixed it with a little tonic, summer was back! (We wished we had not been so patient and ordered a bottle when the sun was in the sky!) Lastly, we pulled the cork on the ‘Dampney’s Rustic Rhubarb and Ginger’… all I can say, is wow… this is going to be the no1 choice in my hip flask this winter. yes, its initially a there is a little sharpness on the palette, but the flavour of the rhubarb with an undertone ‘Pep’ of ginger heat will make amazing warmer on a cold winters dog walk… A cracking night of sleep followed.… If you are looking for excellent quality, 'Remarkable' liqueurs that are full of flavour, that can be mixed with prosecco for a party or tonic and ice, as a long summer drink or straight in the hip flask.... get some on order, with the Dampney's, I’m 100% sure you’ll not be disappointed.
