Years of rugby and subsequently boxing had left me with various niggling injuries and a general inflexibility. A switch to CrossFit highlighted many mobility issues I’d accrued over the years and was seriously limiting my ability to achieve certain lifts. Melissa recommended Yin Yoga / Mobility training as a perfect fit for my issues and background, after just one week the clicking in my right hip when doing squats had completely disappeared. And over time I’ve also seen significant improvement to a chronic shoulder issue. Overall my flexibility and mobility increased hugely during my time practicing Yin Yoga & Mobility Training and I still incorporate the poses into my daily workout regime. I’d highly recommend for any athletes or sports people to practice yoga with Melissa in tandem with their sports specific training to minimise injury and prolong their competitive career.
